Yes 60 years ago that happened. It’s all much cleaner now. Barely any industry down there to pollute any more
Those are some clever designs. I'll bet on the chartreuse.

It was actually some type of hydrocarbon pollution that ignited and burned for about 20 minutes. Flame heights reached about 5 stories .

Probably best to let it burn off all the pollution. Foam would only add to the pollution. I say this because I used AFFF on a fire. It cost the drivers insurance 1 million to clean up, because the foam was toxic to a nearby stream.

If those are metal blades they will cut thru the mono leader, don't ask me how I know that !

How deep are you trolling ? Do you cast it out or just drop it and let out line ? I've had trouble with the spinner and hook tangling with the sinker. I am fishing 20-50 feet deep, vertical to at a 45 degree angle in a mountain lake.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. I thought of clamping the sinker between the spinner and the hook, but that puts the spinner farther from the bait. Thanks

I used a Clevis on the blades but not on the prop.
