QC here, can you share what works fishing at Whiskeytown Lake. Don't have a boat yet but that will change. I'm asking about lures, baits, and fishing methods that produce results. I'm more experienced in fishing for sturgeon and stripers in the bay area. Suisun Bay and San Pablo Bay and Raccoon Straits. Thanks For reading. QC
Only thing I would suggest is that you fill in a location on your profile. If we know roughly where you are we can give much better advice.
Thanks but if you're in Delaware I don't think you can supply the advice I need.
Fish up by Carr powerhouse if from shore. Kokanee are still hitting good in 65 feet of water in front of Oak Bottom and through the 299 bridge. Troll slow 1 mph and use corn soaked in Tuna Fish oil on your tubes.
Park towards the end of the dam. Hike down to the water and over to the corner where the dam ends. You'll see lots of big rocks under water. Fish a drop shot wacky style and enjoy catching 2 to 3 lb spots. Early am or late afternoon are the best times.
