Plumbob...thank you for the time you have spent compiling all of the various listings with support of our US troop forces. That takes a great deal of time, and is most appreciated by all of us that have a spot on a list. Not to be picky, but I happened to notice a typo error in "my" screen name of fishyaker. No hurry, but since I suspect that you enjoy things being in tip top order, perhaps it could be revised at some point. Again...in no way am I being a nit picker...just happened to notice it is all. Thank you!

I hope that everybody is enjoying the July 4th weekend. Every other year we are treated to a spectacular local airshow that features that oh so talented group of pilots known as the Blue Angels, representing our Naval branch. So as to avoid the crowds and traffic jams, we are fortunate to be able to view them from the shade of our back deck. Binoculars help, because they are 2 miles away! The sound, on the other hand, is like the constant roar of thunder. A couple of the "runs" during the show have them passing directly over top of us.

Parked on the tarmac.

fishyaker you are most welcome and you have my apology on the typo.

How that happen i have a zero clue. Being that i only type with 2 fingers ( 1 per hand ) i bet those pesky little fingers were dancing around on the keys and not telling me. Then how did it get by the proof read? Zero clue once again. No worries and Thank you for telling me, and i will correct it when i add names after the thread runs for a few days.

Great pics you added to the thread. Partial to the fly boys i am. Thank You.

I love this Country. I am so proud to be an American. I don’t whine about how it’s going downhill. Thank You all who served.

I love seeing Aircraft. I usually try to safely Park and watch when fighter jets fly.

It a bunch better than not being an American. We are lucky and I will never wish I lived somewhere else.

Many here have no idea how good they got it.

I'd like to add my son to the list of those who served. Jeff put 13 years in the marines from 1974 to 1987. Then served in the reserves for 8 years. He served in Iraq and Afghanistan. He used the GI bill to get training as a nurse. He is now a licensed LPN working in a Veteran hospital in Minnesota. Thanks to all veterans

Plumb, you can put me on the list. Grew up in a Navy and Air Force family. Lived overseas a couple times, lived on multiple military bases. Detained by MPs a couple times in high school.
I was on the USS Tripoli when commissioned in 1966. I had an embassy driver take me to school in the Philippines in 1969 with a tommy gun in his lap. I should qualify.

I sure will Jwid, look for it in November when i post the list again. Interesting background you had there with the time you spent among the military. Bet you could tell some stories.
