El Rod. Nice pic nice red. Doubt I'll ever be in a place to catch one personally. ๐ŸŽฃ๐ŸŽฃ

Nice El Rod, appears the wife knows what sheโ€™s doing. No redfish here and never pursued them but Iโ€™d love to catch one of those bull dogs. Thanks for sharing that video!

Nice video El, kept seeing the bait ahead of the drum. Did the bait slide up the line or was he chasing it all that time?

The fish must have knocked the mullet past the hook Plum. After I stopped videoing I went to help her with the fish. I knew it was oversized so I asked her if she wanted to keep it and she said she did. I then put the fish on a stringer and got the hook out and the mullet was still on the line past the knot. She got the tag from her license and signed her name and tagged it. In Texas if you use your oversized redfish tag the state will send another one to you if you apply for it.๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘

Kind of thought it was the bait slipped forward. But we all know what assume means. That's cool about the oversize tag. Never heard of that.

So how did you fix it, oven, grill or soup?

Weโ€™re saving it along with the 4 others we caught for a 4th fish fry with several family members coming to town. We may have to try to get a couple more to make sure we have enough. Deb likeโ€™s them fried and my favorite way is on the half shell but Iโ€™m not picky and we donโ€™t get tired of catching them Thanks for asking ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘

Thatโ€™s a huge red El Rod. I noticed the shad or finger mullet hanging on the line. What time of day were yโ€™all fishing? Yโ€™all give me some hope Brother. Thanks for the vid and the picture. Tight Lines.

Nice catch, Mrs. Rod! Was that a white Gulp I saw? My favorite lure for hungry reds!

Hack, she caught that one about 9:00 am. We ended up with 5 keepers. I wanted to stop with 4 but she wanted to keep going. Thanks๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘
