I have fished a bass tournament on Truman reservoir and caught a 5 lb. Bass right away and not any after that. I saw people that were snaring gar fish in the creeks flowing into it. I know snaring salmon is illegal in Wisconsin and Michigan. Never have done it myself. I like the grits and gravy down south though. I live in central Minnesota. 🛶

I fish lake Michigan quite often and have seen people snaring salmon which is illegal. If I tail hook a salmon on my downriggers I release it. 🛶

Welcome fellow Missourian. Looks like a bucket of good fun. What were they hitting on? I went out today and got skunked. Only out for an hour, but not even a bump. Water couldn’t have been clearer. Just fishing, not catching.

I know snagging salmon is illegal here and the great lakes. I have fished in Alaska and they can use fish wheels and gill nets there. I do not know if you have to be a native or not. I just bought a out of state license and caught a lot of silver salmon on the kenighh and Russian rivers

I grew up in KC MO and was as poor as dirt. Only never knew we were poor. That’s when you could get on your bicycle and take off in the morning in the summer or on Saturday’s snd head any place you wanted. It was kind of like a military maneuver I learned later in the military. We had to send scouts out a few blocks to see if it was all clear. Lots of gangs in the intercity . There was no Raytown, suburbia then. I grew up in the first KC Projects. Rough but man a man out of me fast and had the most fun ever. Taught me how to run fast for sure . Went to then Northeast High school a huge neighborhood school. Before liberals started Busing to other neighborhoods out of your neighborhood and visa versa

Grew up in the inner city in the 50’s. On 5 th Highland in the day. Finished living by NE high school the played football in Warrensburg

Where do you live in KC MO. I grew up there and when families were families and I went to local school Northeast before forced busing.
