Went out with family and friends on two pontoon boats at June lake on 6/11.... 12 guys only 4 small trout caught.... the dtate needs to fix their hachery issues and plant some fish... beautiful lake and town... just poor fishing... all the trout were hanhing out under the docks... which you can't fish...bummer.

I've fished June lake and as beautiful as it is i have done better a Bridgeport that's where the state record trout come from at twin lakes and the reservoir is good. Call Kens at Bridgeport and ask for a report they will give it to you straight.
Wow! Things have sure changed at June lake! 20 years ago I took my son's there and while we were out fishing the lake, this huge tanker truck backs up to the upper end of the lake and dumps the whole truckload of rainbows into the lake! We went down there and we caught so many we started to pick and choose the keepers!

That's a shame. I'll be there this Saturday but I'll stay away from June and focus on the Creeks.
St.Davis...I feel for you. The Eastern Sierras are getting very, very few trout plants these days. Fishermen who have gone there for years will probably stop going.
As you know you have lots of lakes to choose from.
Yes, many water ways and lakes. Been going to the eastern Sierra for 50 years and still finding new places. Fishing has not been the same for years and getting worse. I just hope I can find a good spot for the grandkids. If so I will post pictures.

The fish hatcheries had a big die off so not many trout and being planted. Good luck and hope grandkids catch some fish

There are big trout in loop but you are right it is a same about are Hatcheries two times in a row we lost this time 700,000 fish this time.
Sorry I love the loop fished it for years. Have a great Summer. Andy
No trout plants in June Lake this season. This was told to me by a friend that lives in Bishop and is a fishing guide. Pretty lake but fish that are caught are from last season.

This is sad. Sure would like to know what's really going on. Three years ago there was talk about closing all of the eastern Sierra for fishing. I don't know where that stands at this time.
