My opinion no. You'll be fine with the 12volt.

wHERE EVER YOU HAVE BAIT ,WHICH IS IN ALL LAKES,i BELIEVE THE hYDRO -gLOW WILL WORK... THE LIGHT WILL ATTRACT THOUSANDS OF BAIT FISH IN A MATTER OF TIME ...AND ALL FISHERMAN KNOW, IF YOU FIND THE BAIT,THE GAME FISH WILL SOON BE THERE AS WELL

I’ve always thought underwater lights were white. I was considering purchasing a 12v LED light, started researching, and see they come in white, green, blue, red....

Any suggestions about which color is best? Also, is 1000 lumens enough or should I spend more for 10,000 lumens or more?

Goal is to attract bait fish in 10-30 feet depth for crappie and white bass in water with 2-5 feet visibility.
Thanks for your input. 🙂

Green and low intensity light. Works great for me. Good luck.

I think the light will work anywhere,, You just have to have some shad or some type of bait fish in the area, it will draw them in like a magnet..Sometimes it takes a little while for them to find and come to the light.Once they start coming to it, with in and hour or two there will usually there by the thousands just swimming in a huge circle around it....You know they saying,if the bait is there, the bigger gamefish will be there not long after! Its pretty cool to watch, thousands of shad swimming in a perfect circle, then you'll usually see big silver flashes as the bigger targeted fish shooting through the bait fish for an easy meal. I usually drop a bait just outside the light at the same depth as the bait fish and hang on tight..,you get very violent strikes that will take your rod from your hand if your not careful

Never Had a chance to use it in the salt, only fresh water, but seen videos of it used in salt and worked,if you can get it in the water where there is plenty of shad, minnows or what ever baitfishish the body of water your in holds depending, they will be drawn to the light and before long thousands will be doing circles around the light. after while the game fish will be busting through the bait for an easy meal, and very easy eat your bait with a hook in it... As I said, you must be in the near vecintity of the bait fish. if no bait fish after 45 min .try and move and locate some a different area, until you find the bait... Then the fun starts. check you regs though.Im not sure if its leagal in all states.Tx,Okla,Utah-Lake powell is where it works amaizing well.
