Spirit, I read through a couple of the articles and I'm not sure. It could be worth a try but I'm concerned about the lack of casting distance you have with mono. I know a lot of trout are taken 10' in front of you but I also believe the father I can cast the more trout I will catch. I'll do some more research and maybe give it a try next Spring. Thank you for the update.

Sure. I just happened across this and found it interesting. I've asked a couple of times on here if anyone had heard of it or tried it, pretty much no response. Yeah, next spring.

Browns will also hide under cover and ambush feed , check under bank overhangs and floating logs.

Yes trout do migrate whether it's just up or downstream in a creek or river system or they will migrate up into the headwaters into a lake and then to feeder creeks that dump into lakes to spawn. Depending on season and water temp the fish will move up or downstream in search of their ideal conditions for feeding. However when you get cold snaps the fish will lock jaw and it's very hard to get a bite. When you have very cold nights just above freezing or below try waiting till mid day for fishing. 1 degree or so in water temp is all it takes to turn on a bite
