I shouldn’t be surprised but I am. While out fishing on Thursday someone stole my Kayak dolly and bungee cords! I used to hide them behind a rock at the edge of the woods. I say I’m surprised because I have been going down to this pond for 25 years and always met some of the nicest, friendly people. It’s very secluded and not a lot of people know about it. And about the nice people down there, I was lucky enough to have a kid that looked to be around 19 there at the time I told him about my dolly and before I could ask he offered to help me carry it up to where the cars are, it’s a very rocky and rough 300 foot walk to the cars, I could not have made it alone. His mother was there also and I made it a point to tell her she had a good kid! Oh ya, the new dolly arrives tomorrow and I’m going to strap it to the back of my kayak behind me when I go out from now on.🎣😎

That sucks Gary. Lowlifes are everywhere these days. Glad you found a good kid to help you out. I've seen several kinds of wheels that stay attached and flip up for when you launch. Good luck with the new ones.

I hate thieves. For future reference I have an idea for you.

There is submergible locating devices that are not very expensive. They can be attached to crabbing equipment or anything you want to find. They connect to your phone etc and you can track them.

For future reference maybe research the devices I’m suggesting and then the cops or you can locate and confiscate your private property. Be nice to hide the devices and never deal with this sort of thing again. Can attach them to any of your gear so thieves will be busted.

I found some a few years ago that were 15 to 20 bucks a piece. I can’t find that exact type today but here is what is available on Amazon currently.

There is other high grade type for Commercial Fishing Industry.

Hide in Kayak… any gear you want to always know location of.

Well if that ain't a bite in the ***. Sorry to hear that Gary. Maybe the thief will use it someday at the same location. And a little payback would be nice.

Wife works at a clothing store, and yesterday someone came in took a set of new clothes off the rack, put them on and left.

Cheaper to loose some clothes then hire someone to maintain the changing room i guess. Thieves are everywhere.

Sad part of it all Plum is they show this on News Station's on TV and the people walk 🚶‍♀️ out of the store's and get away with it!!!
What H-LL is going here in our country?!!

Our crooked states attorney who is up on charges of personal fraud isn't prosecuting so called low level crimes.

Thieves know this and mass storming of stores is a new norm here of late.

What is worse the crooked states attorney is ahead in the poles for re-election. Makes me wonder who are they poling.

Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately the bad element seems to find us all at some time
However the kid proves that there are still good people out there

Hi everyone,
I never understood the need to steal something. If the people that stole your stuff had asked you instead do you have extras they have received a gift from you.
I stole a wrench from Sears when I was 14 to fix my broken bike outside the store. The fear of God was placed into me that day and I never even took a pen from work.

Hey man, it's gonna get a lot worse before it gets better. We lock our doors even when we are in the house. Read where "home invasions" are increasing.

Praying sooner or later guilt makes the thief atone for stealing your dolly and man’s up and becomes a believing citizen

Some people will steal your chewing gum stuck under the Church pews if they thought it's worth a penny! Launching my boat at the state park ramps, my brother's and a family friend came along, all the rod and reels were in the station wagon, they were making a few gear trips back and forth loading the boat. Some young guy's snuck out between some bushes and swiped $600 worth of rod's. I jumped into the wagon and raced to the guard shack, luckily there was a line of campers checking out and I saw my newer ones sticking out their cars window. I yelled and ran to the shack they stole my poles!! The Ranger was in the main office and busted them. Instead of fishing, I spent the rest of the day filing charges at the Sheriff office. I feel your frustration dealing with crooks.
