Sugie, I'm not from your area but I've found if you introduce yourself, tell everyone a little about yourself on your first post you'll get a lot more responses.

Two of the best crappie lakes in Louisiana are Toledo Bend and Lake Darbonne.

The river right in you back yard, is a great place to start. The basin to your west is another great place. Welcome to the stage. Lake Darbonne is my first choice, for very large crappie, Toledo Bend for volume, and the basin for everything when the water is right.

yes we have a place bordering on the basin and the Ouachita river that we keep our cattle. Nothing but a barn on property. When I was much younger I camped on the sand bar on the river and fished all night. Haven't been fishing there in quite a while.

Some friends of mine just came back from a trip in North Louisiana with a guide, believe it or not, he is know as Big
Sasquatch. He has won many awards and they tell me he was great to fish with.
My trip with him will be late May or early June.
If you need: phone # 318-465-1668
Hope you call and let us know how you made out.
Oh by the way, my friends limited out every day for three days with an average weight of almost 2 lbs.
