I definitely use my spinning reels more. That's what I grew up using.
I'm learning to use my baitcasters more and more for specific techniques.
I never liked spincasters, probably due to issues I had when I tried them, years ago.
Depends what I'm using. I do like my baitcasters. Spinning reels for some things. Both have their place in fishing 🎣🎣
Spinning, from ultra light for fresh water to heavy duty for off shore. Nothing like catching a 250# striped Marlin on spinning gear.
ok here is what i use when i fresh water its bait casters bass fishing
salt water i use spinning reels on my boat or surf fishing
but when we go camping and i only bring fly rods so if we camp by rivers or they have a pond on site
sound crazy but thats how i get to use all my fishing gear.......
tight lines
Usually use spinning reels, if throwing spinner baits or large top water plugs for bass I do prefer the baitcasters.
Spinning reel is my favorite and most versatile!
I still love my Zebco Bullet….
Good old Ambassaduer 5000…

That Bullet Zebco is the best Zebco reel I have ever used. Been using Zebcos since my cane pole days. Back when I was using only Zebcos I would have never have thought that I $100.00 for a Zebco reel. You are right that Bullet is one fine reel. EB
I like my bait casters on most days but on windy days I like the spinning reels
