Hey PapaJ. My daughter lives near Tyler and I'm going to see her the end of May. I want some catfish while I'm there. I herd Lake Tawakoni is the Catfish Capital of the World. Is that true. Where else would you recommend?

Howdy! Tawakoni is a Great Lake for catfish. Are you bringing a boat? I’m not an expert by any means but I will be happy to take you out in mine if you aren’t bringing a boat.

No, I'm not bringing my boat. She lives in Lindale. What a great offer. Do you have room for all three of us? Her; April and her hubby Bill. If not, just tell us a good bank fishing spot. Isn't there a Tyler Lake? Does it have cats? I want to do a Fish Fry for them. Either on the bank or back at their house by the swimming pool. You are invited. I'll bring our famous Idaho Potato's for french frys. You can bring the hushpuupys.

I have a 22 foot fishing pontoon so yes there is plenty of room for the three of you. I will be happy to take you out. Again I'm not an expert so no guarantees but we can go have fun anyway. I don't know anything about Lake Tyler sorry.

I don’t know what an out of state fishing license cost. Probably not a lot. Game wardens are on Tawakoni a lot so I highly recommend getting a license.

Yes, I will get a license and bait. I used to have a 18 foot pontoon. I loved it.
