Hello All,
Just getting acquainted with the site, and thought I would try “posting pictures” here first. Hopefully I get it right....Lol
I been collecting for years, and thought I’d give a glimpse into my upstairs (man cave) of my pole barn that I had built in 2001. I’ve got items related to hunting, fishing, camping, tools belonging to my grandfather - great grandfather, my great grandfathers Damascus’s side by side, and my tools for building self bows. Vehicle, boat storage, and my welding shop are downstairs. It’s definitely a place I can go to relieve the everyday stresses of life - by tying crappie rigs, respooling reels, or shooting my longbow.
Hope you enjoy the pics.
Best Regards!

Welcome to the Stage Glenn, and thanks for sharing. That's more like a Man Palace! Awesome job, and collection..
Very cool man. Love old stuff like that 👍
Thanks for sharing
What a wonderful space you have created Glen. With a pole barn like that, who needs a house? Welcome to the stage and thanks for the pics.😎

Very nice Glenn. Every mans dream. Welcome aboard.
I love all of your old vintage stuff. I was back home turkey hunting just last weekend (was only 21 degrees one morning here in Minnesota turkey hunting last weekend). I forgot my Thermos at my house and asked my Mom if she had one I could use. She got out one of their old ones with a glass liner. It was a red plaid one with a cream colored cup on top . . . exactly like the one in your first picture! I remember us using it with my Dad when I first started deer hunting. I got skunked turkey hunting this year, but having that old thermos with me brought warm thoughts of my dad!
My parents also used to have a Stearns life jacket EXACTLY like the red plaid one you have pictures. The Coleman water jugs and lanterns were also something we had growing up.
I LOVE your man cave! Man, just seeing your pictures brought back a lot of memories for ME - I cannot imagine what it does for YOU!

Now that’s what I call a well put together man cave.
YES, and I am quite impressed with the huge size. That is a wonderful arrangement and well stocked. Just Syin...RJS
Thank you all, when I was 16 a widow friend of our family, who I did summer farm work for, and had some of the best stocked Bass ponds ever, gave me her husbands fishing tackle, including antique wooden lures and a split bamboo fly rod & reel, which began my passion of collecting. They spent most of their time fishing in Minnesota.
Years later my wife and I took a vacation up to Hayward Wisconsin to see the Fresh Water Antique Fishing Museum (I think that’s what it was called) and on up to Lake Superior and back home. The Museum is unbelievable. I sure do love the North Country.
I really like your setup. I'm also new to this site. I figured anyway to give me an edge to hook those big boys is worth checking out. I have a small house but a huge backyard. I live in the city (IA) but my backyard has a stream that gets stocked with trout. I think it's the only urban trout stream in IOWA. Anyways keep throwing those lines and good luck!

Welcome Lous. You said you're new but your profile says you joined in September, almost 4yrs ago. What's up with that?
