Hack ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿบ๐Ÿบ

Sorry, Hack ! I 'zoomed' the phone
in to the max, but those still look
more like 'skeeter profiles than
any hornets I've seen ! As for
lenses, the results of my last
eye test were 20/30 for both
eyes - I only wear over-the-
counter 'readers', and then
only 'as needed' !

If those are Texas hornets,
shouldn't they be about the size
of sparrows, at least, and 'skeeters
the size of normal hornets ?

Arizona 'skeeters ? Been here just
over 19 years (total) - don't think I've seen THREE in all that time out here !
Back home was another story -
some days it was hard to get any fishing done for the 'skeeters,
gnats and/or midges constantly swarming in your face !

Now, here's one critter you should hope to never run into (and YES !
this wasp is way bigger than your average Texas hornet) ! This is a Tarantula Hawk Wasp, and its' sting
can fell a horse - the sting, though
not lethal (unless you're allergic),
is as bad as the sting of the
'bullet ant' of South America ! If
stung, all you will be able to do
is lie on the ground screaming in agony for 5 to 10 minutes until the pain finally subsides ! It may not be lethal, but it is excruciating !

This is the Asian Giant Hornet which has invaded West Texas. Itโ€™s the largest hornet in the world. The Asian giant hornet, Vespa mandarinia, is native to places like Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan, but was detected in Washington state late last year. Canadian officials also found the hornet in British Columbia in August.

The menacing orange-and-black hornets have workers that can grow an inch and a half long and queens that get up to two inches in length. They have a painful sting that can be fatal to humans โ€” if they are allergic โ€” and unlike most bees, hornets can sting more than once. Despite their name, however, people have little to fear from them: The British Columbia Ministry of Agriculture said that they โ€œare not interested in humans, pets and large animals.โ€

Can you imagine a 2โ€ long hornet?

Yep ! That wasp I pictured grows to about 2 inches (just slightly smaller than my pinky finger) - it hunts and feeds exclusively on tarantulas ! Haven't seen one yet, but still
wouldn't want that experience !

What amazes me Big A is this post had a very interesting topic that gave us something to consider and Gordon made the statement that he didnโ€™t intend to stir up a hornets nest. Then I put Bzzzzzzzz๐ŸฆŸ๐ŸฆŸ๐ŸฆŸ๐ŸฆŸ, with a few of those wasps, then you assimilate them with mosquitos, and then we end it discussing wasps, which started this in the first place.๐Ÿคค๐Ÿค”

What goes around, comes around ?
My eyesight is fine, but you may
want to take another, closer look at those 'insects' you posted - that profile looks a lot more like 'skeeters to me than wasps or hornets !

(Lord knows I've swatted more than my share of the blood-sucking little buggers !)

A- Okay that you are just joking !
Didn't think you were mad with me,
but was concerned that you may
have taken something as criticism !
B- Sometimes I do take things too seriously, but as I've said before - sometimes what you print isn't
always taken as intended !
C- MY problem, here ! Going
through a rough patch and my sense of humor has been flushed down the crapper, lately !

You're A-OKAY in my book, no matter what anyone may say about you !

Thanks Big A. I appreciate it but once again I donโ€™t give a hoot what someone thinks of me, unless theyโ€™re a buddy, like you. Hang in there. It gets better. Turn it over to God and let Him deal with it. Hard to do but Iโ€™ve learned the hard way. Stay safe Brother.
