Hi guys any tips on fishing the beaches in Florida, I am having no luck at all. Thanks
Give it another 40 days in the Canaveral, Smyrna and coco region and the mullet will start to slowly run the trough. Gotta fish halfway between low tide going out and high tide coming in. Be sure your casting between the breakers in the trough. Sand fleas or mullet for soaking or wade out and throw some shiny things that move well and you will clean up. Promise.
Mullet are running now at cocoa beach. Snook are smashing them hard time.
Mullet are thick for a month now by Fort Pierce.

It goes like that in MLB.
I've spent many days on the beach, and got nothing but a sun burn.
Winter time to beach fish is just too damn cold.
Sand fleas soon come off the hook, so I learned to make a bait bag. Its a golf ball sized mesh bag with some fleas in it. Like what fresh water fishing people use to hold fish eggs for salmon. I crush one or two fleas to get scent in the water. Bags will also keep clam meat together in the surf. Steal a pair of wife's pantyhose, WARNING. . . do NOT steal new ones.
Awesome, I think I'll head over there, thanks

With this winter coming, and if you have a small boat, head for the mangroves. They are protected from the wind and loaded with fish, Especially Honest John's fish camp and Sebastian state park.
WARNING. The IRL is badly polluted. Stay near Sebastian Inlet, if you intend eating fish.
If you are just visiting or new, you can get real spoiled on saltwater fish, and will never eat bass again. I now lump bass in with carp and cat fish. Patooy.
