Hi All,

As quite a few of you know, I am going on a seven western state vacation this year. I will be fishing with a few of you along the way. Just got back from the gas station here in SoCal and gas was a Whopping $6.15/gal. What are the prices in you state these days?

I paid 3.59 in Pine River, Minnesota yesterday.

I was on a trip to Missouri and Arkansas from so California. I was getting 19 mpg with CA gas and price was $3.50 gal. I reached Missouri and the price was $2.25 gal and my mpg went up to 24 mpg. This was 5 years ago.
Has anyone experienced the quality of gas like this in other states.

Might be the percentage of the additives that made the difference 😎👍(ethanol)

All I can say is that motorcycles get much better gas mileage than trucks, and can pull a light trailer, carry a passenger, and carry saddle bags. My Yamaha 550 Vision got better than 50 mpg. My Honda trail 90 got 100 mpg. Road bikes get better mileage than off-road bikes. Insurance is less as well.. They aren't a lot of fun in the rain though. And without a full-face helmet, with a face shield, you can get bugs, or even stones in the face. I once had a big june bug go splat against my face shield. It would have been quite painful it it had hit my face. Also, I once hat on a helmet with a face shield. The helmet wasn't a full face helmet, and didn't cover the chin, or neck. A yellow jacket hit me just under the face shield and ended p trapped just behind my right ear. By the time I was able to stop the bike, and remove the helmet, I'd been stung 3 times. I loved riding motorcycles for most of my life. But there are pluses, and tings to be aware of, like having a car or truck suddenly pull into your lane, forcing yu to take evasive action to avoid becoming an ornament on the side of their vehicle.

$3.99 here in Montana. You are welcome here if you get a chance on your journey.

I95 Connecticut to Florida averaged 4:20 3.86 on Georgia Florida line was the least.
If you have a Sinclair Dino station near you (mostly in southwest) if you get the Dino app you save 15 cents a gallon. We have 2 in Connecticut.1 is by my house. Easy to get app Pay at pump or inside. Put in your pump number and the pump rolls back 15 cents. Worth it!

That's insane OBG, ours has dropped about

I would guess that your prices are more politically driven than any supply driven issues.

And the Governor is thinking about lifting the state tax temporarily. Hard not to like this guy.
