Was out peddling around in our kayaks for the 1st time this year through the channels of Bird Key. Brought some shrimp along. Made a few casts when this sheepshead couldn’t resist. I thought I was fighting a black drum then saw this guy

YES, Good firm meat. Just fillet and prepare like any other firm meat fish.

What color is the meat? I cut one open once and the meat was greenish in color. I just let them go now like I used to.

Must be something in the water. I've never seen a Sheep head that wasn't bright white and firm.
