Nice catch there Fish4fun as far as a ruler I've marked my pole with pinstripe tape every 6"" up from the foot mark to the 2ft mark that way I've got a good guess another way is take some line or string and measure the length and width and do the math to figure the weight 🇺🇸🎣😀👍( you could also measure with a dollar bill( 6" L × 2 1/2" W)

No I dont J. but I do have tape on my rod at 12" -18"and 24" for my ruler easier that way as most of the time I'm not in a boat 🇺🇸🎣😀👍
