Uh, That fish is somewhat questionable, as are most record fish, I guess it is an acceptable fact.

read the article from the link. It is the record for catch and release in MN. Anyway I'm from Iowa and this fellow Iowan caught a giant Muskie.

I'm from MN. and I love my Iowans & Wisconsinite neighbors. We all think the same way. I was referring to the Worlds' Record Catch in Hayward as being somewhat questionable.

Yes I guess that will always be a little questionable seeing that all evidence was destroyed in a fire. There are some big Muskie 65 lbs or so that have been proven so all you musky fishermen get out there and get that big One.

Personally, I have never caught a Muskie and I have tried on both Lake of the Woods with a guide and the Hayward, WI. Area with a buddy. I do have a buddy, whose son, is on the Muskie Tour and he finished 4th in the Worlds a few years back and won a Ranger Bass Boat. He caught a big one someplace out in New York to put him in the Top 5.

I would be happy just to catch one that was big enough to fill the length requirement in IA
