Hi all. Been a long time since I’ve fished here! Any trolling techniques would be appreciated. Location, depth, lures…. Thanks in advance!

Nothing current. My oldest brother caught crappie, a largemouth, cat fish, even a trout while trolling for trout. 4" chrome dodger, green wedding ring with a bit of night crawler. It'll run about 8' deep with no extra weight at 3 or 4 mph. Summer fishing though.

I caught crappie and large mouth from a canoe. Texas rigged 6" purple worm tossed at the bank, draw it back slow. Hugging the bottom. Second cove from the ramp.
Amador has cutbow Trout and they stay pretty close to the top, no downriggers needed. Try small half/half dodger w/worm trailer. You may have to go back 30'-50' +- until you find fish. I used to also use a ultra light setup with a small Rapala w/worm trailer and have a blast catching fish that way. Bring different color dodgers ie, all gold, all chrome, half/half. You may also have to adjust the worm trailer line length if they short hit your worm. Oh, make sure you thread the worm on the hook. Good luck and let us know how you do.
Thanks for info. I’ll let you know if I make it over there.
