Howdy
Thinking about some trout fishing in late April or May between Big Pine and Bishop with easy shore access lakes
Possibly Diaz Lake
I have a bit of a hard time getting around at 75 and mostly with a cane
Any suggestions would be appreciated
Thanks
Boat rental would be a pontoon boat

Diaz Lake stocked with big Trout ,also has nice Bass, best place we used to fish big Rainbows was at Whitney Portal Pond, there are many creeks between Lone Pine and Bishop as far as easy access you've pretty much have to see for yourself if you think you walk it, Pleasant Valley Reservoir is a very good place to catch good Rainbows at the Power Plant, Good Luck to You ! We did a State job in Lone Pine years ago lasted almost a year ,so we were always exploring the Inyo County,,
Thank you for the info will put it to good use

Go to the sand traps. I'm lone pine go west on Whitney portal for about a mile. As soon as you cross the canal bridge go left on dirt road for 1/8 mile. Also out of independence at the north end of town at the airport. Go about two miles on dirt road. Great fishing and easy access. Many others as well I can share with you. You can look up independence creek for directions also lone pine creek.
Wow great information do you mind if I contact you again once we decide when we are going and the date is a little closer
Thank you

Sure Pete, please PM me and we can exchange phone numbers if you like. The eastern sierras has been my place for over 50 years. So many places to go and so many more to explore. I'm going up for the early opener the first weekend in march. Bill

Convict Lake. Don't waste your time at Diaz. Go past Bishop and up the hill to the airport. Both Crowley and Convict have tremendous trout oppertunities.
So true another 30 miles i can be at the loop
Coming from Orange County diaz and the surrounding area a little closer just trying to save some driving time vs fishing
I appreciate the suggestion
Thank you
