Hey , I'm Micheal and I will be making my first trip to Panama Beach area in my Gheenoe I just bought and have not fished much in Florida but have fished 20 years at Texas coast , from Rockport down to Port Mansfield in a 22 foot Blue Wave tunnel boat that I sold when I moved to Georgia. This Gheenoe is a lot smaller but I love it and it can run in super shallow water and boat only weighs 200 lbs with 15 hp Yamaha that make it around 350 lbs. total.I chose the Panama area because its only 51/2 hours from my house to Panama Beach and I watched a few fishing shows from there and it looked like good area to start my Florida coastal adventures.Any info I could get would be greatly appeciated . I will be camping at Sand Pond Campground at Pine Log State Forest. With the snowbirds still there its hard to find a campsite in March.

Good mornin' Mike, welcome to the Forum. Have a good, safe trip. We want pictures of the Spring Breakers running around in their birthday suits. A few fish pictures would be fine too.

Welcome to the Forum ! Start by going to the Beaches to do some Surf Fishing, always works nicely. Early morning hours and Sunset hours work best. Use Live Shrimp and use some plastics and Lures. Jacks, Pompano's and maybe a school of Blue fish should be running by now as well as some stripers. Try using Pompano jigs on a big 9 Ft surf Rod.

Happy Fishing
Enjoy the Best Beaches in the world !
