Tomorrow I go to have a bone marrow draw and stem cell injection into my spine, so today I went out for about four hours to feed the addiction . Caught 7 lost 2, biggest was 19 1/2 inches and the fish were pulling harder than normal, I mean they were fighting hard. The biggest jumped 4 times and fought like a bulldog. Had one that was about 16" that fought like four pounder, think someone dumped some steroids in the lake the way the fish were fighting. Guess the cooler water 46* has got them really cranked up.
Caught all on a tight line rig 5/32 jig head and a Roboworm Alive Shad in Prism Shad color 4 pound test line.

Well the procedure went as well as I expected. Things have changed from the last time I had marrow draw, the Dr. went a LOT deeper to get the marrow and the tool he used was much bigger than the last time. He basically went into the top of the ball in my hip joint with a tool that had a T handle with a hollow1/16 " needle attached. Took a lot of pressure to get through the bone and into the marrow. After that they took the marrow and spun the stem cells out and about 20 minutes later injected them back into my spine. This has been an ongoing thing with several other shots in the back. Got a couple more platelet rich plasma shots to go but today was the worst part. Thanks to everyone for the well wishes and prayers and I'll be back out after them Brown Fish in a couple days but it's sure sore right now..

Glad to hear from you Ivey. I’m sure you are very sore. It all sounds painful. Do you have that done to improve pain in your spine or to create more bone, or what? I’m only asking because of my spine from surgery five years ago. Does it help to make it less painful I guess is what I’m asking? This is what was done to my L4 and L5.

Hack, It doesn't help where the metal is there's not much that will but it does help to rebuild the disk between the bone above and below the fusion and yes it does help a lot with the pain. The problem with a fusion like yours and mine is it puts extra pressure on those other disk and that's where this helps the most, more than likely your pain like mine comes from the disk that cushion above and below breaking down and the bone pressing on a nerve. Stem cells are the building blocks of our bodies and when introduced correctly next to damaged parts they rebuild the those areas, or that's the science behind it. All for sure I can tell you is it has helped me, before the first procedure I had a very hard time getting around. About 5 months after I was cutting wood and splitting it with an 8 pound maul. It takes some time for this process to happen 3 to 6 months but as far as I'm concerned it's the best thing going for back problems like ours and I've tried just about everything.

Thanks Ivey. I’ve tried just about everything too. I’m going to talk to my doctor about this and see what he says. It’d be nice, even if it only lasted a month or less, to be out of pain. God Bless you Brother. Stay safe and healthy, as much as you can.

I'll tell you now what a surgeon will tell you, they'll say it won't help. I talked with two before my first procedure and both wanted to cut again. Do some research on line and find out for yourself, one thing I've found after mine started is basically you're on your own to find out what's best for you. If there's any Life extension doctors in your area I'd go see one and discuss this with them, these doctors are the guys who fix NFL and other sports injuries and stem cell are how they do it. My wife had it done about 8 years ago for a knee she was told needed to be replaced, bone on bone is what she was told but now she has NO knee pain but the Doctor wanted to basically cut her leg half way off, saw out the old and replace and replace with an artificial joint. She still gets mad when she thinks what the regular doctors wanted to do. This is a very touchy subject with some doctors and it's because it's costing them money.

That’s true Ivey. I asked them about steroids injections and I got the run around on that. My surgeon screwed up the first surgery. After two months the bone marrow and the packing completely came out. He went through my back on the first one and my stomach on the second one, along with all the the hardware. I was totally pissed.

Do those fish just stay plump and healthy like that all year? Must be some good food source there. Nice looking fish.

Most stay pretty fat, after spawn they'll skinny up but they fatten back up pretty quick. The lake has a very healthy population of yellow tail shad, gizzard shad and alewives, plus a LOT of crawfish. They should fatten up more before spawn, end of March thru April.
