You can shore fish on each side of the ramp for about 1.5 mi. Have to carry all your gear there. Don't know how the fishing is, but the lake is about as low as I have ever seen it. Hope that helps some.

I understand they do not allow water contact at Diamond Valley, so, no sit on top fishing kayaks. Sigh

That is right. Boats or shore only. Thinking about taking my boat out there Wed. to check it out. Normally a little early in the year for me but going to be nice weather and I am bored sitting at home. They had a big tournament there this past Sunday. Lake is closed Mon & Tues.

A lake that is "Closed Monday and Tuesday" ???!!!
Is it a private lake ?
Sorry.... that is just ludicrous, insane, hilarious, sad, ridiculous, all the descriptive terms I can think of, including... just plain stupid, in my opinion.
And...WHY ?? Are the fish union members with 2 days off per week "in their contract" ?
We, in Oregon, have some really odd rules and regulations, thank goodness they are mostly at the other end of the state from me, on the Columbia River. To have a tournament one day, and then closed the next, is beyond my comprehension.... sorry you have to deal with that. Hope that thought-pattern never comes north... know it would be expensive to enforce around here, would need a whole platoon of F&G guys, plus the sheriff department's help, to quell the uprising that would ensue !!
Hopefully you have alternatives, good luck !

Owned by the Metropolitan Water District of So. Call. It is also one of the most expensive lakes to fish. Cost me $28 to launch my boat and fish, and I am a vet and senior. It is said to be the premiere fishing lake in So. Cal. Lot's of species and some big fish.

Kinda like buying tickets for a concert and not having any guarantee that the band will show, but it does get you in the gate, huh ?.....no thanks, I already spend way more for my fishing/boating habit, than is practical for my economic status.
