Hi fellas,
My name is Lee and I am an avid fisherman in the finger lakes region of New York. I was wondering if anyone on here has had any luck jigging for walleyes thru the ice. I would like to know depths, jigging technique and lure selection+ colors. Any info will be helpful. I look forward to hearing from you

We normally fish about 15 feet and I jig like 6 inches off the bottom. My favorite luers to jig are a white puppet minnow, a walleye talker and a blue tingler spoon I tip all of them with minnow heads. Good luck!

Welcome to the Forum, Lee. You heard it from the Walleye Man. It doesn't get any better than that.

Walleye man: any suggestions for winter walleye from the bank? No ice, shallow lake max 25 feet. Southern New Mexico so it’s not very cold. I usually do ok but not great casting 3 inch plastic curly tails on eighth ounce heads or by using assorted small jigs- standard advice for this area- Just looking to try something different.

Yeah I had to look them up. Like a metal flatfish lure with a lip. Never tried them.

Hi Lee. I'm from nw iowa. I love walleye fishing all year. To find fish I focus on structure, points, rock piles, weed edges. Most lakes are one here are less than 25 ft deep. Later ice if you know where they spawn find structure near deeper water close to there spawning grounds. Good luck and happy fishing
