Curious to find out y'all opinion/experience about catching game fish with jointed swimbaits( i.e. Bucca's baby bull shad, savage gear hard4play, jackall giron). Do you think they are as effective as other types of lures?

Jointed swim baits fall into different categories. 😊 De baits that you retrieve four or five v anks and they slowly turn back towards the fish when stopped. This usually provokes a strike if not you repeat the process. Then there are those with multiple joints that are wakers. You control the dept by rod tip and count down. However some of these baits float though most are slow sinkers. You need to fish these parallel to grass lines so the bass can ambush them against the grass wall. There are also large rubber like swim baits. The best line for swim bait fishing seems to be fluorocarbon as it disappears in the water. I personally lean to glide baits.
I think, most baits are to lure you in, not the fish. I really believe that ALL baits will catch fish, the same goes for color. Sometimes it isn't the bait at all, it's the presentation. Of course if you are throwing your bait where there is not fish, you will always catch...........nothing.
I had the same idea a half a century ago but I've come to know that color matters as well as matching the hatch. Ione summer day on fished worms of ever color out of my tackle box. Finally I fished a chartreuse worm and caught fifteen bass on it. Another gday I out fished the pro side angler with a Nichols spinner bait seven to one. I came from 75 place to 28. Lures mage a difference his lure was the same color as mine just a different manufacturer. I once had a guy come to the back of the boat to ask for my lure or one like it . He was down six fish to none.

Don’t know how any of those mentioned baits function. But I believe paddle tail swimbaits work the best, no joints. I pour my own most of the time, but a very good commercial bait is a Keitech impact fat. Most effective way to use this type of bait would be either a weighted swimbait hook or an underspin, with the point of the hook imbedded ( skin hooked) in the back of the bait.A good example is an owner flashy swimmer underspin.........My 2cents.
He's talking about the 7"to 12" glad de baits and wakers. Not the 4"' rubber worm type that we Texas rig or cast with little or no weight. Or use on a umbrella rig.
Glide baits is what I typed spell check changed it
