Hi! Been a little over four years since I last fished (mostly bass). Been close to 30 years (yes, I began fishing when I was two) since I fished for trout. Interested in doing some local fishing at Prado and Cucamonga Guasti Lakes to begin to get my feet wet again. Any tips would be much appreciated.
Berkley is your friend when it comes to stocked trout. Wild ones as well if you're fishing in a stream. Power bait, eggs, mouse tails and floating worms. They all work. Carolina rig, 18 to 30 inch leader - toss it out there and let it sit. Want to go natural? Get you a worm blower and inflate a mini crawler so he floats - rig it the same way, toss it out, sit and wait. If there's trout in there, they'll find you more than likely.
Welcome to the Stage Mike. Keep in touch and let us know how you do? Post some pics!

Hey Mike welcome to the Stage I’m way north of you but I’m thinking about the Redding area on some of the rivers with a guide from the “The Fly Shop “ in Redding along I-5
But if you want to get your feet wet
Take your shoes 👞 off
Welcome to the Stage
Thx, Spirit! Leaning towards power bait on Carolina rig, as well as power worms.
