Look up a video that has Shaw Grigsby strongest Flourocarbon knot.
I don’t think it has a name. He didn’t know it.
It looks a lot like a sandiego jam but it’s different.
This thing is a beast. Never once a knot failure since I’ve been using it.
Palomar is easy to tie and very very strong as well.

Tie an improved uni knot , pass the line thru the eye twice , don’t let the lines cross each other when you pull this kinda tight.
The a traditional Uni knot knot but use 12 turns. I know that’s a lot of turns , trust me
Put this in your mouth to get saliva on the line.
Pull mainline and tag end tight. Very tight. Starting with the tag end.
The bottom of the knot should be tight to the swivel eye , and the lines passing thru aren’t crossed.
The wraps of the line should be tight and even.
If everything looks perfect your good to go.
If I see anything I don’t like on this knot. I cut her off and do it again

I recommend Loon Knot Sense. It’s a UV cure glue made for fishing knots. It’s popular with fly fishermen. Its not absolutely necessary but it’s insurance.

This is a knot I use to affix heavy braid to a musky leader. There is a ball bearing swivel to tie to
This knot ain’t comming apart.
I suspect everything else will break before this knot fails. Line , hook, rod, tree branch …

I gotta watch and make sure I don’t take on water at the bow trying to break off a hung musky lure.

80 pound power pro
I’ve brought up trees with this stuff.
Breaking off a $35 lure really irks me.
This stuff and this knot are incredibly strong.

Any knot that I tie that the mono is over 30 pound test I put a drop of clear nail polish on it and it prevents the knots on pretied leaders from becoming loose or opening....... And on braid no matter the pound test it gets a drop of nail polish to secure the knot..

Oh ya gotta try it sometime.
If you just have an overwhelming urge to stress , strain , swear , get POed. Risk injury from any number of things …
Especially fun when the wind is howling. Then you get to fight that at the same time.!!

But the bottle of nail polish will last longer than an open tube of super glue..

You are right about that , don't last long after you open the cap.
