I'm wondering if the boat ramps along F D Roosevelt Lake are usable. I'd like to go fishing there one day when it's above freezing. My concern is getting the vehicle back up the ramp.
Does anyone have any current information?
Thanks in advance.

go to Lake Roosevelt boat ramps. it will tell you ramps are open by lake level. The lake is 1290 ft at full pool. ramps very greatly fall and winter during a normal year.

I was wondering if anyone had been to one there lately and could tell me if getting back up the ramp is doable without chaining up.
I read somewhere that Kettle Falls, Gifford, Fort Spokane and Keller Ferry ramps get plowed and sanded throughout the winter. I would prefer to go to Porcupine Bay.
Guess I'll have to drag out my boat and check for myself next week. The weather forecasts look promising.
as of Jan 4th the.lake level is 1286 so all ramps should be open. they sand the ramp at fort spokane. you should no problems if you have 4wd.

Thanks Buz. That's what I was looking for. I have a 4X4 Duramax that's over 7K so I should have enough weight and traction with the new tires on it.
Am looking to try for some Burbot, Walleye or maybe some Whitefish.
Good Luck. let me know how you do. I'm sheduling a trip the end of the month.
