New to fishing in Utah

I've been fishing since I was 5...long time ago! We moved to Utah 6 years ago but haven't been fishing in about 8 years. We came from CA where all we caught was rainbow trout. I'm excited to catch something different here. Any tips on where to fish? We live in Southern Utah. I'm looking for places to reach for day fishing and further places to camp and fish. Is love to hear your stories.

I do not fish southern Utah. Lake Powell and Quail creek reservoir are two places. There are a few reservoirs in Southern Utah.

Quail Creek is more of a bass lake. Try Panguitch reservoir and the creeks that empty into it for trout.

Try Lake Powell, smallmouth, largemouth, strippers and walleye.
