Hello fellow fishermen! My name is Frank. I am a 6th generation native Floridian. Graduated from Naples highschool in 1965. I am a retired broadcasting announcer/engineer, and musician (percussionist, harmonica, Native American flute). I am an avid fisherman and just got a boat (since shoreline fishing is getting more and more restricted). I enjoy both salt and freshwater fishing.

Hi Frank. I'm in Ft. Meyers right now. Just sold my house here and heading home up north tomorrow. Wish I could take this weather with me. Enjoy the new boat.

Cracker Frank, any relation to Cracker Jack?

Sorry guys surprised no one beat me to that one. Welcome to the stage Frank, good resume there but not needed. Heck they let old plumbers like me on here.

Post a pic of your craft when you have a minute. If there is anything we all agree on here, it's we like pics.

Welcome to the Stage jack! You're going to enjoy it! As mentioned, photos are always welcome from your fishing adventures...or anything else that you conjure up for the "chit chat" section of the Forum pages.

Why are you leaving Florida and all of that water to move to where there is no fishing for months?

I don't get to fish up north as much as I'd like. If I get up to NW Wisconsin once per summer I'm happy. We bought the home in Punta Gorda as a vacation home that we would retire to. The home is on a channel connected to Charlotte Harbor. I don't know anything about saltwater fishing and never caught anything off the dock. Grandchildren came along and got us thinking moving down full time wasn't what we wanted. Summer in Illinois and winter in Florida seemed like a great idea. Long story short, everything is getting so much more expensive and it's not in the budget to keep two homes. The market here in Florida has been hot all year and we got a very good price with no realtors involved. The heart wants to keep Florida, the pocket book says it's a no brainer, sell. We closed today, it's supposed to snow tomorrow in Chicago when we go home.

Welcome Frank from another Frank. Haven’t been to Florida. I live in New Mexico. Enjoy the Forum. I lots of good advice but I like the chit chat better for all the laughs I get.
