Looking to add more low profile reels to complement my arsenal of round Abus and lonely President XT. The two that have my eye are the Shimano SLX and Daiwa Fuego CT, they seem to be the most loved and talked about out of any other low profile at that price point. My main purpose is to have a reel good for throwing spoons, spinners, and crankbaits from 3/16oz to 3/4oz for fall, winter, and spring steelhead. Of those two, which do most here prefer? I've never fished a Magforce Z reel and have never owned a Shimano baitcaster so this is all new to me. That aside, are there any other reels at that price point I should be looking at?

It's a bit over a hundred bucks but a Shimano Citica is a good reel. I have an older one that I used for a while. I've since upgraded to fancier reels but that's one I would recommend. I'm going to give it to my son since he is now interested in moving on from spinners.

5 vs 7 bearings, also the tat has aluminum sideplates, fuegos are plastic, tat 6.9oz fuego 7.6oz, otherwise very similar, the fuego is actually one of the better values if you want to keep it under 100
