Just saw a video journal on "The Nature of Fishing" this channel is awsome by the way. The guy (Paul) is a
scientists/ bass geek and if you want to know anything about bass for every season this is the channel for you. Anyway coming into the winter months I noticed not only are we using lighter rigs with more finesse presentations I was interested in the line he uses...a 6lb braid with a 4lb fluorocarbon leader which brings me to my question...what is the best braid to buy at Walmart?

I order all mine online.
I like Jbraid for the lite lines. I use to use 8# Jbraid and it was really great. Caught a ton of fish on it.
Thanks Saw...gonna check it out

A lot if fishing folks use the Power Pro from Walmart reliable brand and reasonably priced 15 bucks for 150 yard spools have not seen that channel but 6 lb braid has the diameter of like 2lb mono pretty hard to tie and see but to each there own I would think it would be tuff fishing with line that small you would probably use spinning gear upossed to baitcasting don't know they also carry Suflex and the braid from Berkley

My 8# is the dia of 2# mono and is VERY fine. I put it on a small reel, almost like an ultra lite. It will cast a 1/8 to a 1/4 OZ jig head on a small swimbait 35 yards sometimes.
Thanks Henry...the guys name is Paul Robert's "The Nature of Fishing" content is excellent from lighting water temps current pre Spawn, spawn and all four seasons actually. I'll have to go back and look at that video journal again. It was for Winter and he does use primarily spinning gear for Winter. I thought that line was crazy light as well. Do you use light braid in winter with a a leader? Iv never used a leader but was considering it
Catch any bass on that set up

The lowest I go down in test is 10 lb PowerPro has a diameter of 4lb test mono it's thin and I do use a leader usually 6 or 8lb mono this year I'm going to set up a couple of my tilts with the new Ice Braid to see how it is and if it last

I know I just looked at my spool of 10lb power pro and found out I list the two backwards my bad sorry guys I knew it was thin😀👍
Smallest braid I ever used was 15. 6 must be incredibly thin!!
Not that it’s bad , just my tired ole eyes couldn’t see how to deal with it!!!
Walmart, don’t know If they have power pro but that’s what I suggest
I have my preferred braid , but I’m thinking Wally don’t stock it
The light weight your looking for , I don’t think you could go wrong with anything but spider wire and fire line
These lines , you will get frustrated one day.
My local w-mart sells power pro. I found the suffix at dicks
