One of my fishing hooks got caught on my NEW neoprene waders. The hole isn’t big. But I’m looking for a recommendation for a good glue to use for the repair. Also, since it is so small should I just stitch it then put the glue on or try to add a neoprene patch to it? I look forward to your suggestions.

I believe I'd patch both sides. I'd suggest looking at a place like Bass Pro or some place like it

I could try to patch both sides, but the hole is so small, by the time I was done there wouldn’t any neoprene there…it would only be thread. The hole is smaller than the size of a pea.

I wouldn't try sewing just patching.

Is there a certain kind of 5200? The ones I see are for wood, metal, glass and fiberglass. I’m afraid that wouldn’t be flexible enough on neoprene.

I would use Flexseal from the spraycan.

Found this when I googled "how do I repair Neoprene waders?

To repair any neoprene waders you may need to fill your waders with water to find the leak but in most cases the leak should be easy to find. Look for tears, or punctures in the material. You then can apply a liberal amount of Aquaseal or SG-20 (a flexible epoxy like material) to the leaky area to seal it again.

I use Aqua Seal. It has always outlasted the waders. Black magic or black magic with a patch from a dive shop is the way to go if you have the time to do it right. That is likely what the waders were built with in the first place. If Black magic is now under a new label, the dive shop should be able to direct you.

Aqua Seal !!!!! I tore a one inch by one inch hole in a pair of neoprene waders over twenty years ago. Sewed the triangle shaped tear with dental floss and sealed with aqua seal. Patch has never leaked and aqua seal remains pliable. I haven't worn those waders for years but I just pulled them out to check and the patch is still pliable after all these years.
