My number one by far for me are tube jigs. I keep on hand lots of colors. I do seem to do a little better if there is some chartreuse or orange on the tube.
I also like plastic crawdad imitations where the claws flutter a lot.
Also ned rig.

On some days anything in my tackle box ! I have caught them at night on a musky Jitterbug fishing for Muskies ,
one was 6 inches long and I had a heck of a time getting the rear hook out of it's mouth, it had all three points of the treble hook stuffed in there !

Yep. I have been doing right well with a 1/8 oz jig head and 3 inch z-man paddle tail this year as well. It is my go too when my mind set will not allow slow.

If I'm I'm open water I like a spinner bait n a Sq bill. Figure one day I'll switch bait every 100yrd till I get bite. Should only take about 20 + miles 😜

You might try every 10 casts. It's realistic, effective and lots of fun. I use a quick pin when doing that. Otherwise with my missing fingers I would spend most of the day tying and little time fishing.
