Stripers in New York. A great day indeed!

One of the best days fishing of my life happened at Raritan Bay last week. I was staying at my brothers and I asked if the fish were still biting out there. He told me that he had put his boat away for the season but that he would give his buddy Vinny a call and see how things were. Vinny owns Karen Ann Charters and a 38ft boat out there and he put us on the fish! I’ll let the pictures do the talking! 😎 These we’re just a few of the many we caught and tagged for Vinny that day. Thought I’d share the bounty with you all out there, have a great weekend everyone!

Looks like a great time...and from what I can tell...you were within sight of land, meaning that perhaps you did not have to travel a long distance to get in to some awesome fishing out there! Terrific photo spread!

Raritan Bay, just west of Sandy Hook has been experiencing boat traffic jams for the last 2 weeks! Unbelievable amounts of fish caught in short periods of time. Many charter and party boats return to their berths early as the anglers are exhausted.
This can possibly last until mid-December. A 30 plus pound striper is exhilarating a 40 plus will tax your stamina. NJFishing.com will show you the ads from many charter and party boats.
Exit 117 on the Garden State Parkway will get you to Atlantic Highlands marina where many boats are sailing from.
