Funny story.
I just turned seventeen and went in for my physical at the military base in Anchorage Alaska. I have bad vision 20/40 corrected and told them that I couldn’t read the line that they told me to read. So they put me down as 20/20.
As long as you were walking and breathing you were good to go. This was 1963 and I wanted to join.
