I truly hope that someday I find a place to fish where all I can hear is nature. Our waterways are surrounded by noisy people.

I have fond memories of canoe trips in the Quetico-Superior wilderness area some 55-60 years ago when, after the first portage, you could go an entire week without seeing another human except for your family. The fishing was great too.

'65 I took a canoe trip into the boundary waters area. Unforgettable. A trip of a lifetime. We gorged on small mouth and northerns.

Sorry to hear that Hack. There are times when the only times my partner and I are talkin is when we have a fish on. Sometimes that seems to be pretty constant some days.

Saw I like the guy, donโ€™t get me wrong. But he talks so much about everything fishing, sometimes my teeth go to sleep. Iโ€™m used to quiet ๐Ÿคซ and concentrating ๐Ÿค” on my line in the water getting a bite. Whether itโ€™s Crappie or Gulf Trout, they both bite slow and we work artificials. Iโ€™m pretty sure thatโ€™s why I out fish him.๐ŸŽฃ๐ŸŽฃ๐ŸŽฃ

I know what you mean. It's nice to just relax and enjoy just bein out on the water with nothing but your own thoughts sometimes.

I've never had any problem with it. But of course my music volume is low. Just enough to hear it.

Thatโ€™s how I like it all the time whether fishing or hunting, especially hunting. But, itโ€™s his boat we go in, so if I want to fish I gotta put up with loose lips. I still like the ear buds thingees.

I'll be jammin' in my truck comin'
and goin', but I have enough to lug around without hauling a radio
along as well ! I know a whole lot
of tunes by Elvis, Roy Orbison, the Everly Brothers, Hank Williams
(Sr. and Jr.), Dean Martin, Johnny Mathis, Gene Pitney (remember
him ?), so that if I want music I'll
just sing to myself (when I'm by myself - wouldn't want to torture anyone) !
