Woburn is about 16 miles north of Boston, Massachusetts. I drove down to Cape Cod at Sandwich, MA to catch those trout. Peter's Pond is the most heavily stocked pond in New England. There are four species of trout including Rainbows, Eastern Brook, Tiger, and Brown. There are also Largemouth, and Smallies in there.

peter's pond one of my favorites! ever fish goose? or gull? also hold some nice fish. John's pond is a good spring take also.

Over the past 3 years since retirement, I have worked on getting to every body of water in Massachusetts that has fish in it. My favorite for trout is Peter's, and my favorite for largemouth are East & West Lake in Halifax, but I still have more ponds, lakes, and streams to check out.

I do have a boat, but I am not opposed to fishing from shore. I grew up in Woburn, Ma near Horn Pond, so I put my backpack on with all my gear and work my way around that pond for a good workout.

Quite a bit - surf casting and deep sea. Used to enter the Martha's Vineyard fishing derby every year. My mother-in-law has a house on Plum Island in Newburyport - her backyard is the ocean. Great place to go for stripers when they are making their run.

Wish I had a Mother-In-Law like that. Would make me want to go over and visit.

You're lucky - once I get 3 on my stringer, I have to stop fishing. Fortunately my fishing partner doesn't eat trout, so I get his 3 as well. I stock my freezer for the winter quite easily.

You don't need to stop. once you've got 2 on the stringer switch to barbless hook. play catch and release until your done. I usually keep the first one over 14" then play C & R. at both Peter's and Johns Pond I've caught and released well over 20 fish on any given trip. It's more fun than "meat fishing"
