Never heard of it but we'll know soon enough, just sent my Compadre in Ensenada a query about Castro's. i know of none in San Felipe. You sound familiar with San Felipe, I have a CASA on the cliffs 300 yards north of the light house that i started putting together in 1968, when San Felipe was a one horse town.

Actually no on San Felipe, but it's on my bucket list, I've fished Cabo, La Paz , and Loreto, but something always has me thinking of San Felipe ,read up on it and have wanted to go , so maybe soon . So do you go often to your place ?

Jarhead, I'm semi retired here at 70 and spend about three months a year there and two in Ensenada. My Compadre and I have fished the entire Baja from Tijuana top Cabo all along the coast then the Sea of Cortez back up to San Felipe. University of Arizona puts a tide chart calendar out that provides the tides for the Sea of Cortez which is extremely useful that even the fishermen of San Felipe rely on. A little history the tide is the exact opposite than the tide at Inchon Korea. I'll be in San Felipe December 30 thru April this coming year, best fishing there is between October an March-April, right now the shrimp are being Harvested and they are some kind of good! Should you make it down there all the fishermen know where the sunken barkos (old fishing boats) are located for some fantastic corbina which i this is one of the best eating fish in the Sea.
