Fishing reports for salmond migration up the different wis. Rivers off Lake Michigan
Salmond fishing reports in the wis. Rivers off Lake Michigan
PM fishyaker. He's across the lake in michigan, but he's very familiar with the salmon and trout runs. They can't be that much different. Can they?

Maybe your post was cut off. What is your report again?
I believe that it would be safe to say that any stream in our "lower peninsula" of MI has salmon well along with upstream migrations to spawn right now. This comment would be based on my personal observations of the Platte and Boardman Rivers...as well as Mitchell and Yuba Creeks (in NW MI)...which tend to be "later" in the season than many others. I noticed a post from another angler that advised the Manistee River is well along too. I may head down to the "Tippy Dam" (Manistee River) later today to check it out in person. I like going there to fish a little...but mostly just enjoy watching others ply those waters via drift boats, waders and shoreline fishing.
My wife and I were in the Upper Peninsula for the past 5 days camping and enjoying Fall colors, so I have been out of touch with the stage and I'm playing catch up!
So...as Spirit mentioned...my suspicion would be that salmon on the WI side are on the move too.
Good luck if you go...and perhaps there are a few bait & tackle shops that could advise more specifically on any given river.
