Father and Son

A son took his elderly father to a restaurant for an evening of dining. Being rather frail the old man spilled food on his coat and trousers as the other diners looked on and murmured their disgust at the messy display. When their meal was done the son took his dad to the restroom, brushed off the crumbs, blotted out the stains, combed his hair and refitted his glasses. They emerged and the young man settled the bill. As they were leaving an older man stood up and said," Excuse me but don't you think you are leaving something behind?" "I don't think so" came the reply." "Yes you are." said the older fellow. " You're leaving behind a lesson for every son and hope for every father!"

Great post/lesson Wulffy!
Brings back memories of when my own dad was on Hospice during the final chapter of his life.
I hope our kids were watching and treat us with the same love...

Good one Wulffy, my dad too was once a vibrant man, 30 years in the Marines but times they do change. Hopefully the younger generation “gets it” and acts accordingly.

Well I guess there has to be one in every family. I hope my son has enough damn sense to stay the hell away from me if I ever get like that. You all are very lucky to have sons and daughters that you would want around you to help. Don't go thinkin that I love my son any less than you do yours. Just a unbelievably bad situation.
