Which one do you prefer? And why?

Bait casting rods with Bait casing reels and spinning rods with spinning reels. The lines come off the reels differently which is why the line guides on a spinning real start larger and get smaller and the baitcasting rods are uniform

Like bait casting, mostly round reels and for spinning about all I'll use is Ultra Light. Just like heavier rod and reel for bigger fish but, got a couple low profile casting reels set up on light rods with 4# line to use on bull heads, crappie and small mouth bass.

Baitcasting. Line doesn't flip off the spool, doesn't line twist, don't have to mess with a bail, can precisely control the stopping point of the lure, can let line up and down easily when jigging, can adjust the star drag with the same hand as cranking while fighting a fish....I only use a spinning rod if I am using very light tackle and want to cast hard w/o getting a backlash and, of course, casting in the dark--you can't tell when the lure hits the water to stop a baitcasting reel precisely. Oh, Oh, I just looked up and saw "rods" instead of assuming "reels". Maybe someone will ask something for my answer. ha

Bait casters because I can cast 5000 yards with them.spinning rods because I can hit a dime at 200 yards with it. 😂
