Good morning
Taking my son to Atwood lake for first time tomorrow for some fishing. Rented a pontoon there
Can anyone provide some tips or locations to try ? We don’t get to go out too often so really trying to put the boy on some fish regardless of the species.
Thank you all
We have had some luck at the dam area along the rocks. If you have a fish finder, look for fish and the depth they are hanging out. If no depth finder start at the rocks and work your way out from them to open water. Bobber and half nite crawlers work fit perch and bluegill. Also try fishing just a hook and worm. Also hot dogs soaked overnight in strawberry jello with a small sinker might get you nice catfish or two. Keep it simple. Best of luck to you and the young fisherman. Have a great dat, that’s a very pretty area.

I have never fished there myself. I’ve been told and read that it is a good saugeye lake. One guy told me that he catches them there by threading a half night crawler on a Aberdeen hook and slow trolling it. I don’t know about where on the lake. Good luck
