Have one tied on right now. Rotate between buzz bait and Rebel Pop R till they tell me what they want, fast and noisy or chug chug chug pause
Whopper plopper. You can crank it pretty fast, like a buzz bait or slow / stop, not like a buzz bait. I haven’t used buzz baits for years.....My 2cents.
Why kill it? they eat all sorts of pests.

Catch every snakehead you can and toss em on the weeds!
Been seeing things that say they are great to eat, I'd certainly watch a video on cleaning and cooking them before making that call.
Like was mentioned above, restaurants are serving them, they can't be too bad.
I still use them just about every time I go out sometimes they work sometimes they don't but it does seem like the fish you catch are bigger. I always use a trailer hook. Top water bites are my favorite way to catch bass.

A white buzz bait used to be my go to topwater. Pretty much year round.
I used to get the best I could afford . Strike kings and I think they had a grommet in the blade / shaft interface that helped with freedom of rotation
Turns out , hanging them out the side of the boat on way to lake spun these blades to a reall good condition. Kinda broke em in
These things produced when nothing else would and good quality fish to boot
Used to catch a ton of bass on these .
Don’t use em anymore. Have several. Gonna have to get old school
Anyone else still rely on the buzz bait ?

I still use buzz baits regularly but have been throwing the smaller ones. Some of those old buzz baits were 6 inches long. My best color skirts have been chartreuse/white & black/blue. I don't carry a large assortment of spinners & buzz baits but I do carry an assortment of skirts. I leave for lake Michigan in 6 days & those old school buzz baits are a part of my arsenal. Old school is my style. Tight lines.
Tossing a snakehead in the weeds does not help , unless you make sure they are dead first. The little buggers can travel overland like an eel.
We have them sunning themselves on downed tress over looking spader dock Lilly pads. We also bowfish them as a back up.

I still use them. I always liked white ones made by booyah. I used to wade fish in the evenings a long deep hole in a river. I’ve caught multiple small mouths by casting a buzz up river let it hit bottom and pump and reel. Some were 18+ inches. Largemouths are always fun to.
I love a three blade for a slower roll at the slow trolling speed. Bend the angle left or right it will track like a planner board parallel to the boat on the edges of vegetation. Try colors of green and dark brown with a frog colored pig and jig to imitate a frog when fishing for snake heads. They can't tear it up with those teeth.
