As a young man on vacation fishing the shallow mangrove areas of Tampa Bay, I saw an elderly gentleman fly-fishing the mangrove edges. What interested me was he had a one-legged stool..seat..chair...strapped to the butt of his waders. He would wade to a area he wanted to work and then just sit down. Neat but I promptly forgot it. Jump forward 50 years. I am 75, lived thru an accident that broke 33 separate bones below the waist, am metal from hip to ankle on my left side, right foot held together with screws, and my good right knee has had two surgeries. I need that seat!! Prob is I cannot find one. Does anyone know of such an item? Plans to build one? Would appreciate the help. Bill from Kentucky.

Check out the Avery Marsh Seat. I use one for duck hunting. It has a shoulder strap, is adjustable and has “feet” to prevent sinking into the muck. I believe they are about $50. Not sure if you can strap it to your butt, though
Never saw that......could be something you could build yourself
There is also a wading chair available. I have seen these used at golf tournaments doubling as a walking stick, then can be unfolded to be used as a seat.
Thanks..i'll check out the marsh chair. I am attempting to design one but my design skills leave a bit to be desired.😊

I have the Cabela’s Northern Flight model, too (for my Son). That one is $10 less. Good luck with your choice!
Get a tube strap it on with suspenders
Sounds like a strap-on milking stool that I used when milking cows back in the 80s.
