Hey guys. Today we got out to the fishin grounds by 0800 and we caught fish till 10:00. We let probly 12 to 15 keepers go and we kept 4 for our limit today. Three were 4 1/2 and 1 was 5 pounds all bout 23 to 24 inches. We fished till bout 10:30 or 45 and they just couldn't be found anymore. However, in those 2 hours we SLAYED them. We had numerous doubles on and several different times we would catch a fish on 3, 4 or 5 consecutive cast.
By 0900 Brad was soakin wet from sweat. NO wind and the water was flat calm. Was startin to get hot by the time we left. We were on fire for the first 2 hours. If you weren't there then you would think there weren't any fish in the river.
Oh how I wish some of y'all could go out there with me sometime and catch fish like we did today. Wow.

Nice fish saw. I fish the Ohio river with my youngest son and am thrilled to get just 1 over 20 inches. Keep up the good work and good pics. We all enjoy your posts

Hey guys, the survival rate for "returned stripers" in warm water is about "0" percent. Our motto here "catch two and quit" think about tomorrow or the future.

Thank you so much for sharing information that has absolutely no value out here in California. Our rivers run clean and cool supporting local populations and spawning populations of strong, healthy and vigorous Stripers. Our C & R survival rate is quite high. But, unlike you, I'll offer information to support my claim. Go to You Tube and watch the countless videos. Start with the Tactical Bassin boys and watch them release Stripers in the 30#. We welcome everyone to the Stage but one requirement we insist on is to know what you are talking about. It's OK to ask questions, we all learn that way. We are all fisherman so let's stand together. There are plenty of other sites if you just want to be a whiner. Clear?

Oh my gosh!! I love this post but am I ever jealous! I lived in East Bay Lafayette growing up 60 years ago, and we would regularly fish the Delta, also the Napa River, the bay, and all points in between. Had a number of days similar to yours, loved them all. Now having lived in landlocked and fishing challenged Colorado for 45 years (lots of great things here but water isn't one of them) I miss those days. Glad to see your success and appreciate your post. Thanks!

My motto is โ€œ Mind your own damn business โ€œ!!!!!

If itโ€™s legal and heโ€™s acting responsible and ethical then go on about your business.

Just like someone from an entirely different area, to tell someone else what they should do!!!

Piss off

Well said,Florida needs to mind his/her own business,Keep track and mind your own ethical fishing and release techniques, donโ€™t be assuming that others do not have the ethical techniques, in short mind your own business Florida
