That's a good site Charly. Thanks , just added to my homescreen.
Very cool charly. I've bookmarked that site. Thanks.
FYI the fishing forum has prohibited me from commenting on the reason for the California fires!!!
Maybe FF thought he was somewhere else. Like I've never done that. Some days I spend about half my time "somewhere else".
I sent in that Newsom got all of this tax money to clear overgrown forests and so far 13,000 acres were cleared for fire protection and the rest as many foresters have noted is the overgrown brush in areas like Paradise, Shingletown, West Redding in state and federal forests that 50 years ago I could walk through and before the burn you would have trouble crawling through them. The state and federal governments stopped many ranchers grazing cattle and cleaning up the grasses. Stopping logging in so many lagging projects because of habitat and then not controlling the habitat for the species they are trying to protect in the first place. The Dixie fire has burned over 700,000 acres and many many houses including towns destroying so many acres that had they been logged correctly could have been stopped in many places. Red Emerson that owns millions of acres as Sierra Pacific has tried with failure to get Newsoms' bunch to clean up properties next to his forests that are managed the way they should be. I'm afraid it will get worse before it gets better. Just like Afghanistan.
Attic bound.... going up!

Excellent site for me. Now, as a fresh water guy, can easily see what you salt water guys are catching.😁
Very astute observations. I learned in physical geography class about 20 years ago that fire is a natural part of California’s ecosystem “system“. We have encroached on natural systems and altered the balance of nature. Will share your notevon Facebook to educate ...
