Please explain a powerbait.
I looked it up and couldn’t really figure out what it was. This may sound like a stupid question but what exactly is a powerbait?

A powerbait comes in many forms typically it is a puddy type bait that you form around a hook that is colored and has scents and sometimes glitter. But that is just the basic type I’m sure there are marshmallows and plastics that are scented that people also consider powerboats or have that name on them. I can dive deeper into the subject but that should give you an idea! Best of luck and tight lines :)
I prefer Power Eggs, they stay on the hook MUCH better and can catch three or four trout on the same two eggs.
As far as I know power bait is a scented plastic bait made by Berkley and has many forms. My favorite is the 5 inch
mullet. Look up power bait on Amazon to see what it is. If it is something else I don't know it.
Hemihappy had it right. Scented product made by Berkeley. Used in mostly soft baits but also sold as a paste, attractant spray,ect..
