What is up with the blood worm? I’ve heard that the blood worm breeders have joined a union and are holding back on the supply, in hopes of driving up the prices of blood worms. They are only putting 10 to a pack n the lowest price I’ve seen myself is 14$ a pack. Has anyone else heard that this is happening? Is it really that difficult to breed blood worm? Do you actually have to feed the worms blood or a bloody “something “ If you have had the same problem I’ve had when it comes to getting the worms, please let me hear your experience. I also wanna know about the breeding process to?

Blood worms are harvested in Canada. None in the USA.

$16.50 a dozen in MD.

They are really juice, but they do bite you.

You can buy "Fish Bites". Artificial worm flavor. They work just as good as the real thing and cost a lot less.

I learned yrs ago at OBX from locals nightcrawlers are as good as blood worms n cheaper. Also used fish bites. 🎣🎣. If people stop buying they'll drop price or go under. Consumers allow these places to jack us up.

Speaking with contractor of Symphony today. Not promising I'm afraid.
Got a couple new horn students and will get back to teaching more in September.
Chris' surgery went well. didn't have to make incision as big as they thought to stitch the bleeding muscle.
Very slight hangover from bday party with tennis girls last night.
Need to get some fishing in!

Sorry to hear about work. Wonder if federal government is going to get rid of employees that can't take the shot once they make it mandatory? Glad Chris is doing better. Like you i also need to get out fishing. I'm getting tired of making food runs for the kids. They have time to go everywhere else. Wife is indulging them. We get the food prepare the food them make a 60mile round trip to deliver it. She knows they're taking advantage of her but she feels needed not use. Hope everything works out for you. Partys do have a way of making headaches 😂😂

Is something you “know” or something you read? Sounds like typical Internet “factoid”.
Hmmmmm, spent most of my adult life in Maine until retirement. Dig clams to eat and blood worms for bait.
“ Bloodworms and their cousin, sandworms, are found in the silty clay or mud of Maine's extensive mud flats. The worms are so named because their blood shows through their pale skin giving them a faint pink color. Bloodworms have four “teeth” connected to glands.” And if they bite, they hurt. Fact.
